Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has reacted to the helicopter crash that her husband was involved in on Saturday.
DAILY POST reports that Pastor Osinbajo’s chopper crashed while the VP was travelling to Lokoja for the election campaign.
Dolapo, in an Instagram post, returned all glory to God for His saving power upon her husband.
She wrote, “All glory to God. Our God whose name is Faithful. I thank You Lord Jesus!
“I give You all the glory for Your love, Your mighty power to deliver and to save. All glory to God! Praise the Lord!”
Also reacting, Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, rejoiced with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his crew members for surviving the helicopter crash at Kabba in Kogi on Saturday.
The governor reacted to the incident in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu on Saturday in Asaba, according to NAN.
He thanked God for the miraculous escape of the Vice President and the crew members.
“I rejoice with Mr President, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, the entire Federal Executive Council and the generality of Nigerians because, we would have been thrown into national mourning if the devil had prevailed in his evil enterprise.
“We thank God who has been merciful unto us as a nation and it is my prayer that such calamities will never occur in our dear country again.
“I also call on relevant aviation regulatory agencies to investigate the crash with a view to unravelling the remote and the immediate cause of the crash and making plans to avert future occurrence, ‘’ Okowa said.
He also called on relevant stakeholders to ensure adequate maintenance and world best practices in the aviation sector to prevent deaths occasioned by such negative occurrence.
“It is also my appeal that relevant authorities must brace up to their job and ensure effective regulation in the sector.
“They must ensure adequate maintenance and international best practices for airplanes and helicopters conveying people of authority and those not in authority to prevent unnecessary loss of life due to avoidable mishaps,’’ the governor said
On his part, an All Progressives Congress member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Abdulmumin Jibrin, tweeted, “May God continue to protect you @ProfOsinbajo I have not stopped thinking how you managed to stay calm, dusted yourself and even proceeded with your program as if nothing happened?
“You showed rare courage and qualities of a man of faith and great leader. God bless you! RESPECT!”
