Why Must Men Do The Proposal?

This has been sort of a routine or ritual.

When two people are engaged, even though the woman wants the marriage so badly, she'll always wait for the man to do the proposal so she can run to her friends and break the news.

Let's say for example, the issue of marriage hasn't crossed the guy's mind yet or perhaps if he's scared to ask because of the fear of rejection, would it then be a crime for the woman to propose?

Both parties in a relationship are seen as equal. But, it turns out that the man is seen as "more equal" than the lady.

By taking this as tradition, we are robbing the ladies of their rights and free will. I do not see ladies as inferior to men in any way.

Why men do the proposal is that, God made a Man first, after that woman was made out of man. So for this reason man supose to propose to a woman. And again it was a man that Bible refer to that man should leave his parent and cleaf to His wife.... But it seems that things were turn upside down today women propose to men puposely because women are more than men on eart. @Solidjadrake, You have misquoted the bible, none of Adam Or Eve proposed in the garden of Eden; God did it all for them; Adam just said, "this is the bone of my bone; he didnt tell Eve, "will you marry me?" This African Mentality has made many ladies bite their fingers, after another lady has taken away the right man from them.

@LUCK UDUMOTO; do you know that Ruth in the Bible proposed to Boaz and Boaz accepted it?( Ruth. 3:6-18). What spirituality are you talking about? It is not a crime, it is biblical and not abnormal if a lady propose to a guy, but the only thing is that she'll not do it as a man do it; she must apply wisdom as Ruth in the Bible did.
