Mr A
Buying recharge card vouchers is old school. Most people these days just dial a code on their phone and receive credit instantly, charged from their bank account. The code you dial on your phone like * something # to request for different services is called a USSD code or 'short' code.

Each bank has their own USSD code with which account owners can perform most of the basic banking services like check bank account balance, transfer money, pay bills, BVN verification, and airtime recharge.

The USSD code for Unity Bank is *7799#. To recharge your phone, all you need to dial is *7799*AMOUNT#. For example, to recharge your line with N500, dial *7799*500#.

Note that this code will only work on the phone number that is connected to your Unity bank account (It's the same number you receive credit and debit SMS alerts with).

Well I was never asked to verify my account when I tried accessing this service from first bank. The processes employed by Unity Bank will waive people away
