Taking Music as a career is splendid, but commitment to it's dos is what drives away many people.

I remember years of training on the keyboard;the starting point was tedious & fingers pained me so seriously before l was able to grab something on it.

Instrumental training needs concentration: it needs your attention; the time of training is the time when you should be serious; eventhough it becomes easier as you are getting more of it, no matter your own instrument of choice.

Theoretical training requires thorough study through books and other instructional materials.
Theoretical aspect includes definitions, rudiments of music, history of music and musicians, sight reading of musical scores and others.

Practical aspect includes voice training, conduction of songs and application of musical signs in all its area.

There are many more to talk about, but time....
