How To Restore Blackberry Backup Data To a New Phone

You may want to restore backup file from your old blackberry phone to a new one if your old blackberry crashes or if you would simply just like to transfer the files to your new phone.

Step 1: Connect your blackberry phone to your computer. (If it is not a crashed phone)
Step 2: Open the Blackberry Link software.
Step 3: Near the bottom of the blackberry link window, Click on your device.
Step 4: Click on the icon for your device.
Step 5: On the left column of the settings window, find and click on Restore data.
Step 6: Choose Restore from backup file.
Step 7: Browse to the recovery backup file you created, then click on the file.
Step 8: If you would like to restore everything from the old blackberry phone, make sure the Restore all data checkbox is selected. If you want to restore only some specific data, the uncheck the box so you can select the restore data you wish to use.

Note: If your blackberry recovery data file is not listed, choose open anotherr backup folder, then navigate to the .bbb file or .ipd file. Click OK. Click Restore Data.
