Text: 2 Timothy 2:l5; John 5:39; Luke 9:62

To effectively study of God's word demand, mind and heart, discipline couples with self-control and determination to receive specifically from God, having sought His face sincerely, geniuely for Spirit guidance, direction and illumination of one's heart and understanding, knowing fully that Scriptures are written by the inspiration of God, (2 Timothy 3:l6-l7) and Holy men of God spake as the Spirit of God lead them (2 Peter l:20-2l). There must be principles undertaken for the effective study of the Word ->
l. There must be aim and objectives, couple (combined) with goal's in one's mind before studying.
2. You should know what you are aiming at, what you want to achieve and the purpose for studying.
3. You study to show yourself approve unto God, not unto man as a workmanship rightly dividing the word of truth.

In that regards there must be  principles - "read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully, for it is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. What it is given you in life, will be opened in the judgement, and will be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and condemns all who triffle with its contents. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the heart and feet".
