“…he leadeth me beside still waters”. (Psalms 23 vs 2). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. In Today’s Focal Scripture, the Psalmist declared that the Shepherd leads him beside still waters. He declared that the Lord leads him even when the waters are calm. He declared that the Shepherd leads the way even when there is no trouble in his waters. He declared that even in the absence of turbulent and destructive waves, the Lord still leads him. Isn’t it tragic that unlike the Psalmist, we often need God’s leading when the waters of life are fierce, only to walk away when the waters have been calmed by God? Our voices are often loud in the place of prayer when we are in danger; we seem to get really serious in our relationship with God when we want something from Him, we easily appreciate God’s leading when there is trouble, but often when the seas of life are calm, we walk away as if we don’t need God anymore. Friend, glean a lesson from the Psalmist:... to be continued.

In times of surplus, in times of needs, in times of happiness, in times when our minds seems to be down.
