 It's time for devotion.

*Text* :John  11:23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.  11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
*Thought*: Misunderstanding the word of God.
The tendency to misinterpret the word is a very high possibility among God's children. We need to be very careful in this regard, less we say God spoke to us...  When we actually heard what  we already  had in mind. God must help us in this matter. How many times most of us said we heard God, but the end result came out negative? You were so sure God Spoke to you, but are you sure what you heard is what he meant.

Jesus told Martha, "Thy brother shall rise again." However in her thinking, Jesus was referring to the resurrection day when all saints shall rise, but that was not the message. In fact she was so confident, she said what Jesus was saying was common knowledge, she said: " *I know* that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day."

Many of us have misinterpreted the word of God to us, we acted on it and it failed. The reason was we needed further understanding of what that word meant. Don't be quick to say:" God told me, the question is did you understand what was on his mind? Even when we think we have heard God, let's ask for clarification this will save us many troubles, left for Martha, Lazarus wouldn't have come out. This is very critical, it has thrown some into confusion, made them doubt the very word they heard. May we be helped in this regard in Jesus name
