It could be as a result of either of the following:
A.  Network problem
B.  Wrong or incomplete message center number
C.  Message sent box been filled up.

    SOLUTION:
Complete the message centre number.
1.  Delete some sent items from the message sent box
2.  Unlock with message code
3.  Correct message centre number with the below codes depending on your network:
MTN: +234803000000
ETISALAT: +2348090000200
AIRTEL: +234802000000
GLO: +2348050001501
