It is no news that data subscription Android or non-blackberry phones is quite expensive. Many Android device owners that switched from a BlackBerry would definitely admit missing the old times when they were entitled to data plans with unbelievable data allowances. That said, some people somewhere have found out that Android owners can subscribe to BlackBerry data plans (BIS) if they are able to change the IMEI number of the Android device to that of a BlackBerry. The IMEI number of a device is unique, and it is solely used for identification. So if you can magically change the IMEI of your phone to that of a BlackBerry then you will be able to subscribe to BIS data plans.

Fortunately, you do not need any magic to pull this off. Here's how to do it:
* Before you begin, copy down your old IMEI number, in case.
* IMEI cloning / spoofing is illegal in some places, so do this at your own risk. I or this website will not be held responsible for any damages that may occur.

1. Download this software on your PC => Gpibb
2. Extract the files into a folder on your desktop.
3. open the GIP v4.1 executable file.
4. Click on the Generate IMEI button. Copy the new IMEI (Not the PIN) and save it somewhere.
* If for some reason, you are not able to download the software, you can request for a Blackberry IMEI by posting a reply here.

Change Android IMEI Using Android Engineer Mode

1. Dial either of these codes: *#7465625# or *#*#3646633#*#* to enter the Android Engineer Mode.
2. Go to the Connectivity tab.
3. Click CDS Information
4. Choose Radio Information
5. If your phone uses two sim cards, you'll be required to select one.
6. Type the following code as it is (replace NEW IMEI with your new imei): AT +EGMR=1,7,”NEW IMEI”. For the second sim use: “AT +EGMR=1,10,”NEW IMEI”
7. Click OK to save, then exit Engineer Mode.

Change Android IMEI Using Terminal Emulator

First you would need to have your device rooted before this can work, because modifying the IMEI requires root access to the device.
Secondly, you would need to download the Terminal Emulator app from PlayStore. Here' a link to it => Terminal Emulator.
When you're set, follow the procedure below:

Procedure differs depending on whether your Android phone has one sim slot or double sim slots.

For Single SIM Devices
1. Open Android Terminal Emulator
2.Type SU then press ENTER button to get Superuser permission
3. After that, type the following command:
echo 'AT +EGMR=1,7,"NEW IMEI HERE" ' >/dev/pttycmd1
4. Click OK to save.

For Dual SIM Devices
1. Root the  Android phone or tablet.
2. Install Android Terminal emulator app
3. Open android terminal emulator.
4. Type SU then press ENTER
6. If your phone is dual-sim, type the following command:
echo 'AT +EGMR=1,10,"IMEI_NUMBER" ' >/dev/pttycmd1
Click OK to save.
