Its wrong to force someone into the career he doesnt want to do; but this happened to me when l was despirately looking for admission(that is another cause of choosing wrong career), in the year 1999, l was offered an admission into owo poly to study banking and finance; u know l was a science student in my secondary school days and l had never done anything acounting-then it was realy tough for me to cope, because l did not have the mind to go for any comercial subject: to prove my interest in science subjects, l had A in chemistry when it was chosen as a selective course, but my performances in commercial subjects were low. lts better one is allowed to go for career of his/her interest and should not be forced by parents.

Obeying the choice of your parents which is against your choice or God's choice in career is a big mistake.
But make sure you settle it amicably with your parents lest they turn their back at you in your studies.
