I dont think anyone has seen snake before... The stimuli in your body controls you not you controling the stimuli. Snakes are not just animals that you can easily attack or threaten. they are cursed by God. God had already said it, that Man shall strike and kill you and you shall strike Man's foot.. There is enemity btween the serpent and Man. What matters most is to give away from them just has God had create a gap with Man and the serpent. Let Man not tempt the serpet with science and knowledge because by so doing you are testing God... It is recorded in the holy bible, that Man should flew away from sin but i tell you it is not only from sin but also from danger.. Flew away from all danger as fast as you can, for the serpent is Man greatest enemy and friend because it lives around us and kill around us just as we live around them and kill around them.

austine chika is right but me when i see a snake i rather run if in a place to run but if not able to escape i freeze up like a frozen chicken and the snake thinks am just a statue then wait till it works away i did it once GOD saved me but if a snake runs after u believe they sent that creature

I 've heard that some people use charms thatl scare away snakes, or even kill them at instant sight.

Above all, dont play with snakes; snakes are dangerous; they stand to attack if you're too close to them.
One day, l saw a big/black/long snake in a plain cocoa plantation; l started running after the snake with cutlass in my hand to kill it and the snake was running fast(because, l dont fear snakes as such: l have little or no fear for them and l had killed a lot of snakes; l even killed one with my shoe); at a time when the snake discovered l was so close and about to cut it off, the snake stood up like human being to spray its saliva; l ran back immediately for my life, because its saliva is poisonous; l couldnt kill it again. As bold as l was, l couldnt kill it again.

you need to try it one day.
You become bolder at each snake you kill; its just as "practice made perfect; so, try it one day: if people are shouting they see snake, move close with a stick or cutlass and strike; you will see how bold you will be at the next one.

Well, there's nothing one can do; background also matters on this issue; as for me, l came from a family where my dad resorted to farming after he retired from the Nigerian Army. So, farming work has exposed me to many things: l mean dangerous animals in the bush, even those ones that are more dangerous than snakes.
Someone who has not done farming work before may not have guts to kill snakes; l cannot blame him.

Am also a good farmer. I 've been exposed to many things and I can bet to dare a lion if I ever had an opportunity to face one. But a snake, I never had the stomach to dare one, mostly because of it's trickish movements.

So? That is interesting; but on snake issue, only God knows why you cannot dare one and God understands all things in any way.

I 've had a hand in killing several snakes too. At least my fleeing draws attention towards the snake which eventually gets killed.
