It has to be pounded yam, because it is savoured by most tribes. Amala on the other hand is probably only eaten by the Yoruba tribe.

As Yoruba use to say, Amala is medicine while pounded yam if food.. So answer to this question is POUNDED YAM because is the most popular. There some tribes in Nigeria that doesn't knw Amala But all tribes knows what is called POUNDED YAM
