It is generally accepted that science and technology are essential for development in our modern world.Being so, it is also true that the technological development  of the world in general and of developing countries in particular,is subject to human reviews and guidance.Though the laws of science are universal, the application of science in the form of technology affect different countries in various ways.
Development in science and technology have had emmence effect on human kind, not just in terms of  the quality of our lives, but also rather in the way we think about ourselves and others, nature and God.They also affect our expectations concerning our future way of life.
Its obvious to know that science gives to those who study it information capable of making them understand the world they live therefore enhancing effective living, problem solving ability, and reflective thinking.Attitudes and ideas in the western world have undergone a sensible series of changed in the past five centuries. Many of these changes are attributed to the rise of scientific theories,in particular those of copernius, newton,Darwin and Freud.
Around 1500, human being were regarded as having a unique central place in the universe with the earth as its center physically. The universe has been created by God,who through hierarchies of angels was actively involved in the processes of nature. No differences were made between the natural and the great supernatural.God behaved as does a father ,taking action in due or necessary time. The  heliocentric theory of Copernicus together with the mechanistic philosophy of Descartes and newton shattered this worldview.
The release or publication of Darwin's theory of evolution shattered the worldview that man was quite uniquely created, especially different from the rest of creation separated from and are not part of the animal kingdom. The human came to be seen as relegated to a  place of a descent from the animal territory or world.
