How To Reset Lock Pattern on Android
Did you forget your pattern lock code? No worries, there are ways to reset or unlock your android phone if you have forgotten the pattern.

Method 1: Using Gmail To Unlock Your Phone
When you have tried unlocking your Android phone with your pattern code at least 5 times, you would be asked to wait for 30 seconds before attempting to try again.
Just click on Forgotten Pattern and you would be asked to enter your Gmail details. Your Android phone will be unlocked if you enter them correctly and you may be required to form a new pattern code for your phone thereafter.
If this method does not work for you, try the other methods below.

Method 2: Using Comand Prompt on Your Computer To Unlock Your Pattern
- Plug your Android phone into your computer using a USB cable.
- Be aware that this method will only work if USB debugging was turned on in your Android phone.
- Launch Command Prompt on your computer. If you don't know where it is, hold the Windows key (button with windows logo) and press R. This will open the Run dialog box, then type cmd then press OK.
- Type the following as it is, into the command prompt window:
adb shell
cd /data/data/
com.android.providers.settings/
databases
sqlite3 settings.db
update system set value=0 where
name=’lock_pattern_autolock’;
update system set value=0 where
name=’lockscreen.lockedoutpermanently’;
.quit
- Then press Enter.
- Restart your Android phone and any pattern you choose will unlock your device.

Method 3: Another Command Prompt Code
If the code in method 2 did not unlock your android phone, try this code instead (type it as it is):
adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key

Method 4: Reseting / Formating Your Android Phone
When you have tried all methods and none of them worked for you, you should try to format / reset your device to completely erase the Pattern Lock app.
Please note that formating your android phone will only delete the apps stored in the phone's internal memory, everything in the memory card is safe. To reset / format your android phone, press and hold these three buttons together: Power button + Volume button + Home buttton

If you get stuck anywhere, leave a reply here. ;)
