Do you want to make the cursor on your BlackBerry phone go faster? (or slower even?). At some point after using your BlackBerry for a few months or days, you would begin to feel your thumb is stressed by having to slide the trackpad or trackball too many times to get from one point to another on your BlackBerry screen. On my blackberry device, it requires about two normal trackpad thumb slides to move from one end of the sceen to the other; and one quick slide to do the same.

If you feel your BlackBerry cursor is too slow (or too fast), there is a setting for that somewhere in BlackBerry options. This should be available on BlackBerry Bold, Curve, Torch, and all other BlackBerry devices.

To change the speed of your BlackBerry cursor, navigate to Options > Typing and Language > Trackpad Sensitivity

On that screen, you would notice there are settings for Horizontal Sensitivity and Vertical Sensitivity. Horizontal sensitivity is the cursor speed in the horizontal direction (left - right), while vertical sensitivity is that for vertical speed (top - bottom). The bigger the number the faster the cursor in that direction. So choose your settings appropriately.

To set the cursor sound, tick the box next to Audible Roll, this would set the cursor to make a clicky sound when it moves.

After choosing your settings, press the menu key and choose Save.
