Change 2go Phone Number, Location and Username [Official]

This is the official way to edit your 2go number, username, location, and full name.
A lot of time has passed since I wrote the very popular post on Jalingo.co on how to get your lost 2go phone number back by doing a sim welcome back. But what if you do not want that number back? What if you want to use your new phone number to buy gocredits on 2go instead of the old one? This post will answer these questions as I have just discovered the official way to change ALL your personal details on 2go directly on the 2go website. Stay with me.

Surprisingly, the 2go details update page is not directly accessible by mere navigating through the website. They never linked to it, not on the main page, not in the help section, but the good news is.. we found it.

You are going to do a little url manipulation here (don't worry, its not physics).

Before I begin, please note that you will not be able to change your age and gender from here. To change your age and gender, send UPDATE to 32120. Updating gender and age has been around since the begining of 2go, but that's by the way.

Step 1: Visit the official 2go website, www.2go.im or www.2go.co.za for South African residents.

Step 2: Carefully study the URL / address in your browser. It should look like this:
wap.2go.im/s/ZZbdjGDJIfjfehq7I/

Something like that right? The letters do NOT have to be the same with the one above.

Step 3: Now go to the slash at the end of the URL and add change.php to it. That is, your address should now look like this:
wap.2go.im/s/ZZbdjGDJIfjfehq7I/change.php
click the enter button and you would be taken to the 2go details update page. Surprised right?
Go ahead and fill in your new Username, Location, Phone number and even Full name.

Now, if you know one or two things about HTML forms, you would recognise that this is a request form. This means that your 2go number won't update automatically after you submit the form, it it just a request form that would be sent to the 2go guys so they can update your profile manually.

So there you have it, after dealing with thousands of messages asking me of a way to change 2go phone number and username, we finally found THE official and actual way to do it.

Do not attempt to copy articles from Jalingo.co or your website would be deleted by DMCA.
