The Airtel BlackBerry Internet service which was falsely reported to have stopped for Android devices is still working. Android BIS subscribers complained about receiving only 10MB after they pay N1,500 for the BIS subscription.
The truth of the matter is that Airtel is doing some reshuffling on data plans, and one of the changes they made was to move that BIS plan to another account (Account 9 to be precise). So, to check your Airtel BIS data balance, dial *123*9#.

This is not a completely new code though, infact this code has been in existence since the begining, it is just the code for checking your balance on "account 9". To see all your accounts on Airtel data and airtime, dial *123*123#
Do you see accounts 1 to 10? Everything you have on Airtel (including talk time, data and bonuses) are displayed within these accounts. You would notice that Account 10 is for regular data while Account 9 is assigned for BlackBerry data.

To check a specific account, dial *123*AccountNumber#. For example to check account 10, dial *123*10#.

Thanks for these tips, I just started using AIRTEL not so long ago and it really has been tedious to guess these short codes. Am sure this ones are gonna be handy.
