How To Fix iPhone Error 1015 Stuck in Recovery Mode - iTunes Restore Error for iPhone 3G &3GS

This is the fix for the itunes restore error 1015 which causes your iphone 3g or 3gs to get stuck in recover mode. Just follow the simple steps below:

1. Download a software called redsn0w (Note: The O is a zero). I would advise to download the latest version to be on a safe side.

2. Make sure you have already downloaded the iPhone firmware you wish to "restore" (downgrade or upgrade) to.

3. Extract and launch the redsn0w application.

4. On the redsn0w software, you would see a browse button. You need to browse to the iPhone firmware you wish to restore to. You can find this in C:\Users\Users\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\

5. When this loads, the redsnow software should display something like "iPhone Software (IPSW) successfully identified".
If it doesn't accept your firmware, then you will have to download a valid iPhone update firmware and try again.

6. Click Next.

7. The next screen should display a list of options for you to choose from:
- Install Cydia

- Install custom bundle
- Verbose boot
- Blah blah
- Blah blah
Unselect all the options except "Install Cydia", we need that.

8. Click Next to continue. The rest should be pretty straight forward, but if you experience any trouble, check out this guide which explains all FOUR possible procedures for fixing this error:
